Could we call India really a Nation?

According to Oxford Dictionary, a nation means large body of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular state or territory."

But does Indian Subcontinental really qualifies to be called as a Nation or a Union of Multi Nations ?

Gadhri Babe
Indian Subcontinent has a vast history with different perspectives, as The History of North India would differ from any other part of Indian State. Even when we think of Nation's ideals in the history that differs drastically. North Indians would probably think of Kartar Singh Sarabha, Bhagat Singh, Lala Latpat Rai or Babbar Akalis (Individuals who led the Gadhar Movement) whereas East would look for different individuals who took part in the freedom fight against the British Rule in India. Even nowadays, youth in Panjab would consider Kartar Singh Sarabha Over Bhagat Singh when it comes to being a Sikh. Kartar Singh Sarabha led the Gadhar Movement that originated overseas.Even when going in the early days of North Indian history, One would talk about Porus defeating Sikander and Other evaders who would attack the subcontinental on different occasions from western part of world. This hasn't come in the kitty of other parts of India.

Culture & Language

India is a Multicultural state where hundreds of cultures and languages coexist. Every state would speak different language than the other, for example in Jammu people would speak Dogri and in Punjab people would speak Punjabi and this goes on for all of the other states. As far Hindi is concerned, it is spoken only in cow belt of India. So there is no single language that unites the whole country as a Nation.

Territory
All the states in Indian Sub Continental have their own territorial lands and they would run the affairs with Delhi or other states of India. One state cannot interfere in other's territory when it comes to administrative processes.

At last, India is a union of multi-nations with a diverse history, languages & cultures.

Why Referendum 2020 is a democratic process?

Punjab Referendum 2020

Referendum 2020 Logo
For the last two years, much has been propagated about Punjab Referendum 2020. Be it in South Asia or in western side of the world, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has been in the news for his efforts to get a plebiscite done in the state of Punjab. He is a degree holder in Law from Touro Law Center New York, United States. Pannu is a member of Sikh for Justice which an Organization works for Human Rights across the world. Pannu has sued a number of Indian Politicians that includes Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, Kamal Nath & Amrinder Singh for different reasons associated with Sikh Genocide that took place in the Sub-Continent of India during 1980s.

Flashback
British India in 1880
Sikhs have ruled the state of Punjab independently till it was annexed into British India. Punjab was the last state conquered by British Empire in the year of 1849 after English Army defeated the Sikh Khalsa Army in the Battle of GujratBritish Govt. ruled the state of Punjab till 1947, after which India got Independence. During the span, Third Round Table Conference was held between British Govt & Leaders From different communities in the Sub-Continent. Sikh Leader Tara Singh also took part in this conference, and Mohd. Ali Jinnah was representing the Muslims. Pt. Nehru wanted Sikhs to stay by Indian side, in return they were promised a sovereign state in the North-West side of Modern India, where Sikhs would flourish equally without any interference from the Center.
After the British Left, the promises were never fulfilled instead they were humiliated by the Delhi Govt time & again due to rise in the Sikh Demands. This went on peak during 1980s that led to attack on holiest shrine of Sikhs in 1984 by the Indian Army. Subsequently, thousands of Sikhs were murdered, looted & raped in the Delhi after Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her own Sikh Bodyguards in Nov-1984. After this incident, a lot of Sikhs who were firm believer of Indian mainstream beofre started thinking of an Independent Sikh State should be formed, many of them flew to west and a lot of them were either killed in fake encounters or were jailed.

Referendum 2020

Sikh for Justice an America Based Organization has started a campaign in order to get succession of The State of Punjab from Indian Rule and form a separate country between the India, Pakistan & China. SFJ has been promoting this process via different channels that includes News Channels and Social Media Campaigning. SFJ has been demanding for a voting to be done in the year of 2020 across the world where Sikh Diaspora exists, however all Indigenous People of Punjab would be able to vote in this referendum regardless of faith, caste & race as per SFJ. This referendum is based on the demands that were presented by Shiromni Akali Dal in a  Anandpur Sahib Resolution  and  it meets most of the aspirations of Sikh Nation.

As per SFJ, this will be a non-binding referendum done through voting. SFJ will then evaluate the results and vow for at-least 51% voting in favour of seeking a Separate Sikh Sovereign State. Following the positive ratio of favouring votes, SFJ will take it to the United Nations in order to appeal for an intervention.

In case they fail to obtain the sufficient number of votes in favour of a Separate Sikh Homeland, they will again re-initiate the campaigning to have another referendum done in future.

Is it worth buying iphone ?

Is it worth buying iphone ?

What is the make of your first phone ?

I wish it could be iPhone !

This is what most of us think when we dream of buying our first phone, but does that really worth eyeing for an iPhone and not Android ?

Once upon a time, people were proud of buying or carrying an iPhone, you can recall those years when people were crazy over apple products like Justin B or Micheal Jackson. Having said this, apple had a reputation like not less than a celebrity.

But why now the charm has Apple gone dimmer and folks have switched to flexible software than mac?  Specially in India, people have almost ditched iPhone like never before, it seems apple is following footprints of Blackberry at least in India, so what makes people look beyond Apple as their mobile ?

Android has developed itself to a lot that people didn't even expect where mac has lagged behind in this race just focusing on design and price tag. Brands like Samsung, Vivo has taken over the market and now hardly anyone boasts of carrying an iPhone. This has happened over a period of times when android developers continued bringing latest technology in these small gadgets that makes our life simpler than ever.

When we compare prices, a good enough android phone can be bought between 5000-10000/- INR then spending 50000/- INR doesn't seem a wise decision. Buying an iPhone means, you have a limited way of using it and there is nothing beyond. But in case of android phone, it give you an independent to customize your usage as per your needs and not what manufacturer expects you to follow.

Please give your views over the same, enjoy !
